The Bidet

Make sure that the lines for the drains are plumbed in accordance with the makers recommendations. If you are not confident to carry out this task you should not begin and call a professional plumbing service like Hammersmith Plumbers for this particular fit. 1). Put a coil of plumbers putty onto the bottom of the bidet tap, and then put the tap body in their mounting holes. Use the washers and locking nut on the body shank of the tap, then, hand-tighten. Again, with plumbers putty, spread around the underside of the drains flange. Now use some Teflon tape on the bottom two thirds of the flange threads. Make sure the tape wraps clockwise so that tightening the nut will not crimp the tape. 2). Place the flange into the drain hole, fit the gasket and washer, and then thread the nut onto the flange. Do not fully tighten. Fit the pop-up drain appliance. 3). Place the bidet in its final position, and mark the locations of the two side-mounting holes through the predrilled holes on the stool and onto the floor. Remove the bidet and drill 3?16″ pilot holes on the floor as marked. Push the bolts (included with the bidet) into the holes. Position the bidet so the floor bolts fit into the bolt-holes in the base. 4). Connect the water supply risers to the bidet tap using compression unions. Make sure to hook the hot and cold water supplies up to the correct ports on the unit. Hook up the drain line by attaching the P-trap to the drain tailpiece. The trap is then attached to a branch drain line coming out of the wall or floor in the same manner as a sink drain. Of course you may need a professional plumber like a Hammersmith Plumber to ensure the job is done to the current regulations.Remove the aerator so any objects in the supply line can clear and then turn on the supply. Check for leaks in all the lines and repair if any occur. Assemble the bolt caps and thread them onto the floor bolts.
